History

In 2002, France Lamontagne leveraged over 45 years of experience in mold manufacturing and plastic injection design to establish Elfe Plastik, fulfilling his dream of owning a plastic container production facility. Located in the heart of Saint-Damien-de-Buckland, the company initially occupied a 2,500-square-foot space, equipped with an injection-molding machine and a dedicated full-time staff.
Rapid expansion led to the acquisition of a second injection press and the hiring of additional employees to meet the growing demand. To further develop the company, Mr. Lamontagne sold half of his shares to Mr. Boucher. With increasing orders, the company relocated to 11 du Huitième Rang, Saint-Damien, to expand its workspace and invest in new injection presses.
In 2013, following Mr. Boucher’s retirement, new shareholders joined the company. Committed to Elfe Plastik’s tradition, the new team continues to provide quality products that meet customer needs. Today, Elfe Plastik supplies its products to numerous packaging distributors and food businesses.
In 2014, the company continued its expansion by investing in new equipment and introducing In-Mold Labeling (IML) products to meet the demands of a growing clientele. IML is a process where a pre-printed label is placed into a mold before the plastic is injected, resulting in a fully decorated item upon completion. This technique offers high-quality graphics and durability, enhancing the overall appeal of the packaging.
